I am Imane Lamamri, an artist who paints with instinct, memory, and longing. My work is born from moments that marked me, places that shaped me, and emotions I refuse to silence. I paint to understand myself, to confront my shadows, and to honour the fire that has always lived in me.

My canvases often carry symbols, doors, masks, silhouettes, storms, and horizons stories whispered in colour rather than words. I am fascinated by contrasts: softness and rebellion, vulnerability and strength, chaos and harmony. Every piece I create is a dialogue between what I lived and what I dreamed, between who I was and who I am still becoming.

Art for me is not decoration; it is survival, release, and revelation. I paint women who carry storms in their chests, places filled with memory, and emotions that move like waves. My style blends surrealism, abstract emotion, and symbolic storytelling, shaped by the nomadic parts of my life and the inner landscapes I explore every day.

I create with passion, with honesty, and with the quiet hope that whoever stands in front of my work will feel something awaken inside them recognition, courage, or simply the beauty of being human.

The Fragile Beauty

A surreal journey of time, music, and inner transformation. The melting clock shows how moments fade, the piano staircase reflects growth, and the open door symbolizes freedom. The masked face reveals hidden identity, while the abandoned violin and chess pieces represent memories, choices, and the fragile beauty of becoming yourself.

Tied to You

This painting explores attachment the way two people can merge emotionally until they become one shape, one breath, one melody. The woman becomes the instrument and the man becomes the one who holds, plays, and shapes her rhythm. Their masks show how attachment often hides true identity, and the heart suspended between them represents a love that is intense, beautiful, but dependent on a connection where losing the other means losing a part of yourself.

Guided by My Roots

Together, these symbols connect the woman to her Amazigh roots, showing that her transformation is guided, protected, and empowered by the strength of her ancestors.

Many Selves

This painting shows the complexity of human identity and relationships. The fragmented faces symbolise how we carry many versions of ourselves the parts we show, the parts we hide, and the parts others think they see. The multiple eyes represent perception, judgment, and emotional awareness, while the scattered lips suggest unspoken thoughts, secrets, and the voices we silence. The colours warm earth tones mixed with cooler blues reflect inner conflict: connection and distance, truth and confusion, unity and fragmentation.

Feminine Flame

This painting captures a moment of emotional retreat a woman curled into herself, protecting the last soft part of her soul. Her body forms an oval, like an eggshell, symbolizing vulnerability, rebirth, and the instinct to hide when life becomes too heavy.
